Listen

Leaders To Go 2025 Conference Theme

Join us in September as we listen to God, young people and diverse voices of our communities. Let’s explore together what it means for children, families, leaders, churches and beyond!

Listening to Young People

What are young people telling us about their experiences of children and families ministry that will help us shape our ministries wisely?

We will crack open recent research capturing the faith of Australian Youth in their own words with guidance from Naomi Swindon, ministry specialist with young people and member of the Converge Oceania core team.

Listening to Diversity

What do the diverse voices of our communities tell us about their needs, longings, experiences and faith, growing up and being family in 2025?

Experts and experienced colleagues will host focused sessions and scaffolded conversations to share wisdom and strategies as we unpack the gift and uncertainty of ministry with the full spectrum of human diversity.

Listening to God

What is God saying to us together as participants in the gospel?

Explore scripture through the lens of child-theology and intergenerational practices with ready hearts and minds to listen afresh and engage deeply with spirit-nourishing and faith-strengthening texts.

“Our listening creates a sanctuary for the homeless parts within another person”

Rachel Naomi Redman

Listening isn’t just the theme for Leaders To Go in 2025 – it’s who we are

Listen Together

  • L2g is intentionally four days and live-in (meals and accommodation onsite) so that you can spend meals and breaks connecting with others. It’s the conversations in the in-between spaces of the program that are often pivotal moments for many past attendees in discovering an answer to an issue they’ve been working through.

Listen In

  • A big part of L2g is inviting and enabling attendees to hear from one another. This is achieved through the way main sessions and workshops are facilitated, the use of small groups and opportunities like the marketplace to share your ideas and resources and connect with others keen to hear more about or work together on issues and projects.
  • Extend your thinking in new ways as you hear from and connect with leaders who are further along the CFM journey and/or who have been thinking about these things in different ways, seeing things in ways that perhaps you haven’t considered before.

Listen Up

  • L2g is an excellent professional development opportunity for CFM leaders from around Australia and New Zealand. Learn and grow in and for ministry, engage with current ministry topics and build networks with other CFM colleagues for ongoing resourcing and support.

Listen to the Spirit

  • Retreat and rejuvenate, take some time to invest in yourself, to be in a different space away from your everyday responsibilities to refocus on God and your connection with God, to slow down and be still and know who God is.
