Premiere conference for children and family ministry leaders

A conference by Children’s and Families Ministry Leaders for Children’s and Ministry Families Leaders. We don’t just explore hot topics, we unpack what it means for our contexts to equip, challenge and encourage you in your role.

This is the best opportunity for Australian-New Zealand input, discussion and networking for leaders of leaders in Children and Family Ministry. There is nothing else quite like L2g!

Why Come to LeadersToGo?

Don’t be the lone bird on a branch, come and join a flock!

The role of Children and Families Ministry (CFM) leader can feel isolating as you seek to advocate for children in spaces where they often have no or little voice or power.

Come and meet with others in similar roles and ministries who also feel like the only bird thinking about these things and discover there’s a whole flock of us seeking to make a difference for the discipleship of children and their families.

Who is it for?

In short – key leaders in CFM – Children and Families Ministry.

This includes:

  • CFM leaders (paid or voluntary) who oversee one or more ministry programs and teams in local church or school contexts. This leader plans and actions how discipleship with children and families will be encouraged.
  • CFM leaders who are in a denominational or organisational leadership role either working in or for children and families ministry or working with children and family ministry leaders.

What happens at L2g?

Our intentional 4-day living-in-community conference provides opportunity for worship, input, networking and retreat.

It includes:

Key Input Sessions:

  • We explore our core theme through creative and guided worship sessions, Biblical reflections, keynote presentations, hands-on activities and discussions.

Elective Workshops:

  • We choose from a selection of workshops. Workshops may include ‘hot topics’, deeper exploration of conference themes, research presentations and lived ministry experiences. A facilitator guides these sessions, encouraging discussion, questions, experiential (try it out) activities, and prayer.

Small groups:

  • We connect over Bible study, questions and reflections, and for prayer and encouragement. Intentional space for small groups is included, and there are many opportunities for spontaneous connections.

Resourcing:

  • We share ideas and resources to equip and inspire each other. Opportunities for resourcing occur throughout the conference, and include the popular ‘Ideas Marketplace’ where all attendees have an opportunity to ‘spruik’ and explore a resource, idea, book, program, game, music and more!

Sip, eat and chat:

  • We share meals together (and often coffee!) allowing for networking and conversations about the serious or silly sides of ministry and life.

Unstructured time:

  • We are intentional about including time to retreat, relax and process our learnings. There is time and space to go for a bushwalk, head to a nearby café, take a nap or find a quiet space individually or with others to read, reflect, chat, pray or be in silence.
